Finish Details: The guitar was refinished by Gibson in 1960.

Modifications/Repairs: -Refinish by Gibson in 1960. -Pickup installed by Gibson in 1960. -Non-original nut. -There is a small wood patch filling a hole in the body under the pick guard bracket. This is visible on the side of the treble side waist next to the pick guard bracket. -There are several extra holes drilled in the top under the pick guard.
Case Details: Later era Gibson hardshell case.
Cosmetic Condition: Guitar is in very good cosmetic condition with minor play wear throughout as well as a few minor dings and dents on the body. There is a small crack on the side of the body near the rear strap button as well as on the top near the bass side F-hole. These are cosmetic and do not affect playability.
Serial Number: 1142
Tech Notes: This L-5 plays well with low action and optimal neck relief. The frets are tall and show moderate wear. It has been properly setup and intonated with flat-wound strings in standard tuning. The guitar is being dated to 1947 based on the serial number. In 1960 the guitar was sent back to Gibson where it was fully refinished and had electronics installed.
