Neck Details: One-piece Honduran mahogany neck with bound Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and trapezoid inlays.
Electronics: Original P90 pickups and wiring harness. The pickups are out-of-phase in the middle position. This is factory original. There is one visible pot code, which dates to 1953.

Modifications/Repairs: The switch cavity plastic cover may not be original as the striations are different on it than the control cavity cover.
Case Details: Original hardshell case.
Cosmetic Condition: The guitar has light play wear for its age. The top has fine checking throughout with the common green oxidization that happens on goldtops. This is most noticeable in the forearm area. There is moderate wear and buckle rash on the back and sides of the body. There is considerable wear around the edges of the headstock including a small chuck of wood broken off the treble side wrist. The back of the neck has light finish checking and light dents and scuffs along its length. The metal hardware is nicely tarnished with age. There corner of the jack plate that has broken off but the plate is otherwise intact.
Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action. The frets are narrow and small with light play wear. The lack of serial number, 1953 pot code, bound neck, and the short knobs indicate this guitar is an early 1953 model.
