Diamonds were added in several places including the tip of the headstock above the logo, the truss rod cover and the switch tip. At some point this guitar suffered a headstock break. This was repaired using dowels.
Case Details: Original hardshell case with flight case.
Cosmetic Condition: This vintage Gibson Les Paul is in good condition, with nice aging and wear present. There is checking and finish wear throughout the body and neck, along with various chips and dings. The fretboard has the remnants of finger divots left after the board was planed during a refret. There are diamonds added to the headstock, truss rod cover, and switch tip.
Serial Number: 7 3997
Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action, and the frets show moderate play wear. This is a 1952 to 1957 Les Paul conversion. The guitar has been authenticated by Vintage Verified in Nashville and includes all documentation from them as to its authenticity as an early 50s Les Paul that was refinished and converted to 1957 specs. After the Vintage Verified inspection was done an authentic Gibson PAF pickup was installed in the neck position (this is the only modification that was made to the guitar after Vintage Verified).
