Since 1976, Santa Cruz Guitar Company has handcrafted some of the world's finest acoustic guitars from its workshop in Santa Cruz, California. Producing just 400-500 instruments a year, founder Richard A. Hoover and his team build every guitar by hand using sustainably sourced tonewoods and construction methods rooted in traditional violin making — resulting in instruments prized for their resonance and rich, complex tone. Trusted by players like Tony Rice, Eric Clapton, and Joan Baez, Santa Cruz has spent nearly five decades earning its place among the most respected names in boutique guitar building.
