The American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster
Fender adds the offset to the acoustic/electric Acoustasonic series.
The first offset to join the Acoustasonic series, the American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster follows the same innovative hollow body design as the Acoustasonic Telecaster and Acoustasonic Stratocaster before it.
Constructed with a solid A Sitka spruce top and mahogany back and sides for a rich, open sound, the Acoustasonic Jazzmaster sings when unplugged, but the real magic happens when you plug it in.

Powered by an advanced acoustic engine designed in collaboration with Fishman, the Fender American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster seamlessly blends three separate pickup systems—an under-saddle piezo, an internal body sensor, and a Fender Acoustasonic Shawbucker— to produce an uncommonly wide range of tones. Using the Mod Knob and five-way tone switch, players can select from five unique voice pairs conceived specially for the American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster model, including electric clean and dirty tones you never thought possible with an acoustic guitar:

- 5A. Rosewood Dreadnought / 5B. Mahogany Slope Shoulder - Be bold and bright or earthy and organic.
- 4A. Mahogany Jumbo / 4B. All-Mahogany Small Body - Choose from big and open or tight and focused.
- 3A. Rosewood Auditorium / 3B. Body Sensor Pickup - Enjoy delicious detail with massive mids, and activate the body sensor pickup for potent percussive effects and increased harmonics.
- 2A. Lo-Fi Piezo / 2B. Lo-Fi Piezo Crunch - Push the piezo to the forefront with a unique lo-fi tone, and add in a little overdrive.
- 1A. Fender Electric Fat/Semi-Clean / 1B. Fender Overdriven Electric - Activate the Shawbucker for unbelievable electric tones, and crank it up with even more overdrive.
Blend the A and B settings of each voice to taste using the Mod Knob for infinite combinations of mold-breaking tones.
The Fender American Acoustasonic Jazzmaster is USB-chargeable and available in five finishes: Natural, Ocean Turquoise, Tobacco Sunburst, Tungsten, and Arctic White. Released on September 30, 1982, Nebraska marked a radical departure for Bruce Springsteen. Recorded entirely alone on a four-track TEAC Portastudio in his Colts Neck, New Jersey bedroom, the album was never intended for release. Springsteen had planned to re-record the songs with the E Street Band, but the raw demos—haunting, intimate, and unvarnished—proved more powerful than any full-band attempt. In their imperfection, he found a truth he couldn’t recreate.
