Description

Very few artists embrace Epiphone’s For Every Stage mantra than Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs. From early Oasis shows at The Water Rats in London through to their era-defining nights at Knebworth, Bonehead consistently pushed his Epiphone Riviera to the limits. The crowds may have grown, but the wall of sound was always there in front of them. Bonehead's solid and driving guitar work played a crucial role in shaping the band’s early wall of sound, and, by far, his most iconic guitar was the 1982 Epiphone Riviera he used throughout the 1990s, including during the sessions for the era-defining albums Definitely Maybe and (What's the Story) Morning Glory and at their legendary Knebworth shows in 1996. Now, fans can finally get their hands on a high-quality replica of that iconic guitar.

The new Epiphone Bonehead Riviera has a five-ply layered maple body with a solid maple centerblock for improved sustain and feedback resistance. The body has single-ply cream binding on the top and back. The three-piece maple neck has a SlimTaper™ C profile and a volute and is capped with a bound rosewood fretboard that is outfitted with 22 medium jumbo frets and adorned  with pearloid parallelogram inlays. The Epiphone Sloped Dovewing headstock is equipped with premium die cast tuners with the E logo and oval metal buttons, a low-friction Graph Tech® nut, a two-ply crescent bullet truss rod cover with E logo, and an Epiphone logo and Gibson Crown inlaid in mother of pearl. There is also a Bonehead signature reproduction on the headstock rear in gold. The Epiphone Bonehead Riviera is powered by a pair of Epiphone’s acclaimed Alnico Classic PRO  ™ pickups. They are wired to individual volume and tone controls that utilize high-quality CTS® potentiometers, and the knobs are black witch hats with silver inserts. Dial pointers are included, so you'll always know how things are set with just a glance. A hardshell case is also included, ensuring  safe storage and transport whether you're going to a jam at a friend’s house or leaving for your  latest national tour.
