The SG, Gibson’s best-selling guitar of all time, has had its horns deep in a wide variety of musicians since its introduction in 1961, when evolved it out of the famed Les Paul. The Gibson USA SG Standard ’61 2019 commemorates that famed redesign, offering authentic, period-correct styling and features like a Slim Taper mahogany neck with ‘60s-style joint, bound rosewood fingerboard, solid mahogany body with deep scarfing, 5-ply full-face pickguard, nickel-plated hardware set, and 61R and 61T humbucking pickups to round out this retro ripper.
