Description

The following specs were carefully collected and recorded by a skilled technician. For a more detailed description and questions regarding sound, feel, or cosmetic condition, please visit our Lincoln Avenue showroom or call to speak to one of our Used and Vintage experts.
Finish Details: The finish appears original under black light although it is likely that areas have been over-sprayed a long time ago (especially the top). This was common practice on Martin acoustics.
Top Material: Spruce
Body Material: Rosewood
Neck Material: Mahogany
Fingerboard Material: Brazilian Rosewood
Neck Profile: medium, soft "V"
Neck Thickness (IN): 1st- .86" 10th- 1.01"
Fingerboard Radius: 16.00"
Nut Width: 1-3/4"
Scale Length: 25 2/5"
Hardware: The tuners are original. The nut, saddle, bridge pins and end pin have been replaced. A strap button has been installed in the neck heel.
Modifications/Repairs: The top has likely been over-sprayed. The nut, saddle, bridge pins and end pin have been replaced. A strap button has been installed in the neck heel. There is a repaired hairline crack in the neck heel. This is stable and not affecting playability. This guitar has been refretted and the neck has been reset.
Case Details: Original Hardshell Case with green interior.
Cosmetic Condition: The guitar is in very good condition for its age. The finish is intact with checking and light dents and scratches throughout. The back of the body has light buckle rash and there is considerable play wear on the back of the neck.
Serial Number: 185969
Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action. The frets are narrow with medium height and minimal play wear. The serial number dates to 1962.
