With its comfortable feel and shorter scale length, this custom Grand Theater acoustic-electric delivers an inspiring playing experience in a visually captivating package. Back and sides of beautifully ribboned neo-tropical mahogany generate a warm, punchy midrange response, while the hand-selected Sitka top produces a broad dynamic range and crisp articulation. Like all Grand Theater guitars, this model is braced with our C-Class architecture, which emphasizes the lower frequencies to produce a surprisingly powerful bass response from a smaller-bodied guitar. This build features a suite of subtle wood-centric appointments in Hawaiian koa, including the rosette, tail strip, peghead logo, Spring Vine peghead inlay, heel cap, and body and soundhole binding. Other details include boxwood 5-dot fretboard inlays, dark-stained bone bridge pins, and smoked nickel mini-tuners. A dramatic Midnight Burst top color treatment glows with rich amber and black hues, complemented by a full-body gloss finish. This model ships with ES2 electronics, a pre-installed TaylorSense unit and a sturdy, yet lightweight brown AeroCase.
