Taylor’s T5z series electric-acoustic hybrids embody Taylor’s forward-thinking spirit, merging two worlds of tone into a distinctive, yet versatile package. Designed around a Taylor approach to the hollowbody electric guitar, T5z series models feature a magnetic acoustic body sensor, a concealed neck humbucker, and a visible bridge humbucker, all controlled with five-way switching, which gives these models offer a wide range of tonal possibilities—enabling everything from searing electric leads to warm, woody acoustic textures.
Boasting a slightly more compact body, akin to an electric guitar, T5z models feature a slender, easy playing neck, with jumbo frets and a 12-inch fretboard radius, all of which add up to a fast, electric-friendly feel.
The T5z Pro models add an elevated aesthetic to the Taylor acoustic-electric guitar series, with beautifully figured Big Leaf maple tops, tropical mahogany necks, and ebony fretboards.
