This cutaway 12-fret Grand Concert delivers a playing experience that blends physical comfort with surprising warmth and tonal power for a compact body. The 12-fret neck-to-body relationship shifts the bridge position on the soundboard, where it articulates the top in a way that produces more midrange punch. V-Class bracing has been added to this year’s models, boosting this compact guitar’s volume and sustain with overall improvements to tonality and musicality. The rosewood/Lutz spruce wood pairing yields a pleasing blend of sonic detail and dynamic range. The Grand Concert body makes for a clear, responsive voice that fingerstyle players will love, along with the hand-friendly 24-7/8-inch scale length. The compact body also keeps the overtones in check, making this a great choice for recording or the stage, especially with Taylor’s natural-sounding ES2 acoustic electronics and the new bracing scheme on board.
