1942 J-45 LEGEND SUNBURST

The Limited 1942 J-45 Legend Sunburst with Thin Natural Cure finish was originally designed by and built exclusively for Japanese retailers, but we’ve got it. Built now exclusively for CME, this J-45 is constructed exactly like it was in 1942, down to the traditional, hand-scalloped X-bracing with hot hide glue on both the top and back for better tonal response. The mahogany neck is carved to a pre-war profile and the body features period-correct tone woods like mahogany back and sides and a thermally aged Adirondack red spruce top. A spectacular, vintage-inspired tribute to an iconic guitar at its peak.

1960S J-45 EBONY

Available for the first time in the United States and manufactured exclusively for Chicago Music Exchange, the vintage-inspired Gibson Montana Limited 1960s J-45 Ebony was initially built solely for Japanese retailers and is constructed to historic specs, including the original non-scalloped X-bracing, as well as period-correct components like a bone nut and saddle and famous Ebony finish.

1960 J-45 TIGHT KUSTOM BURST RED SPRUCE

Available for the first time in the United States and manufactured exclusively for Chicago Music Exchange, the vintage-inspired Gibson Montana Limited 1960s J-45 Tight Kustom Burst Red Spruce was initially built solely for Japanese retailers and features an Adirondack red spruce top and mahogany back and sides, as well as traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing, adjustable bridge, and exclusive Tight Kustom Burst finish.

1959 J-50

Available for the first time in the United States and manufactured exclusively for Chicago Music Exchange, the vintage-inspired Gibson Montana Limited 1959 J-50 was initially built solely for Japanese retailers and blends modern Gibson technology, like the thermally aged Sitka spruce top, with historic specs like hot hide glue construction on the top and back, traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing, bone nut and saddle, legend fret wire and double antique thin finish to create an instrument that transcends time, looking and feeling just like a vintage gem, but with the kind of tone and response that can only come with decades of innovation from the World’s Finest Guitar maker.
