THE GUILD SPECIAL RUNS
Guild began handcrafting guitars over 65 years ago. But it wasn't until 2019 that the brand debuted its GSR series, custom builds designed to showcase exceptional tonewoods, ultra-premium materials, and above all else, a mastery of the luthier's craft. Guild Special Run guitars are the culmination of more than half a decade at the forefront of acoustic design and aesthetics. To see it is to believe it. To hear it, well, that's something else entirely.

D-55 Traditional
The Guild Special Run D-55 began as a special order, available by request only in 1968. But this top-of-the-line dreadnought was so popular that Guild put it into full production just six years later. A favorite of the Nashville set, this big-bodied acoustic commanded an audience's attention with a AAA-grade Sitka spruce top and solid Indian rosewood back and sides. Modern improvements like scalloped X-style Adirondack spruce bracing and a hand-fit dovetail neck joint make it more irresistible than ever.

F-40 Traditional
The Guild F-40 Traditional is proof positive of its legacy as one of the player's favorite jumbos. Constructed with a high-grade solid Sitka spruce top and solid African mahogany back and sides, the F-40's body is braced with scalloped Adirondack for the power, detail, and responsiveness one has come to expect from the 65-year-old brand. The three-piece mahogany and walnut neck, also topped with an Indian rosewood fingerboard, joins the body in yet another authentic dovetail for the free transfer of vibration.

D-40 Traditional
The Guild D-40 Traditional represents everything that's made the D-40 one of Guild's most beloved and revered models. Scalloped Adirondack braces reinforce a high-grade, solid Sitka spruce top over solid African mahogany back and sides to create a powerful voice that's nuanced and responsive. A three-piece mahogany and walnut neck, topped with an Indian rosewood fingerboard, adds resonance, joining the body in an authentic dovetail.

F-40 Traditional Double Pickguard
Much like the Guild F-40 Traditional above, the Guild F-40 Traditional Double Pickguard continues the brand's impressive legacy, adding a vintage satin nitrocellulose finish and double tortoiseshell pickguard to the already impressive list of specs it shares with its Antique Burst brother.
