Yamaha | 2nd Generation Transacoustic Guitars
Yamaha unveils the newest evolution of their modern, performance-oriented acoustic guitar!
Yamaha first introduced the TransAcoustic design in 2016, combining their long history of quality acoustic guitar construction with their history of pushing the envelope. The resulting guitar added effects to the natural sound of the guitar, with built-in looping capabilities and bluetooth support.
Now, with the 2nd Generation of TransAcoustic guitars, Yamaha is introducing TransAcoustic guitars at a lower price point, making it even easier for solo acoustic performers and players of all stripes to access the built-in, natural sounding effects of the TransAcoustic guitars! Call us at (773)525-7773, chat with us, or come into our Lincoln Avenue showroom to be among the first players to discover the performance power of these guitars!

Yamaha’s proprietary design allows each TransAcoustic guitar to incorporate the built in effects in a natural way! Each TransAcoustic guitar features actuators installed inside the body that resonate in response to the vibrations of the strings. These actuators are the audible source of the effects, and dynamically respond to your playing to produce a more organic sounding reverb and chorus.
For added control, each TransAcoustic guitar features a compact control layout on the body’s exterior that makes it easy to dial in the EQ, volume, effects, and connect to bluetooth devices (on the TAG1 C and TAS1 C).
Performance Built on Natural Capability
Of course, both the TAG1 C/TAS1 C and TAG1E/TAS1E have a beautiful sounding tonal foundation that supports technological innovation! Choose between two body styles: the dreadnought TAG shape, and concert TAS shape. The TAG’s full size dreadnought shape provides the classic dreadnought projection and complex low-end that made the body style an icon, while the TAS’s smaller body produces a balanced response across the frequency spectrum, perfect for fingerpickers. The TAG1 C & TAS1 C feature a solid sitka spruce top with layered mahogany back and sides, while the TAG1E & TAS1E are constructed with a solid spruce top and layered mahogany back and sides.
Make your performances sound downright epic in any setting with the newest Yamaha TransAcoustic guitars! The seamless weaving together of classic acoustic guitar construction and modern effects is a difference you’ll feel the moment you pick one up. To be among the first people to experience the new Yamaha TransAcoustic TAG1 C, TAS1 C, TAG1E, and TAS1E, call us today at (773)525-7773, chat with us on our website, or simply come into our acoustic room!
