Huss & Dalton Guitar Company started in 1995 when Jeff Huss and Mark Dalton decided they were going to build the guitar they wanted to play. Huss & Dalton wanted to combine traditional guitar-making with modern improvements to structural design and cosmetics. The beautiful acoustic guitars have every detail covered – from the selection of wood and components to shell inlays. Huss & Dalton standard series guitars are known for a balanced tonal quality while the traditional series has a more traditional tonal character, emphasizing more bass. The Huss & Dalton company currently operates on a small scale, producing around 350 instruments per year in their two-story brick workshop. Guitar players who use Huss & Dalton guitars include Dar Williams, Beth Nielsen Chapman, and Mary Chapin Carpenter.
