The new EVH SA-126 Special merges classic design elements and high-performance, modern innovations in a semi-hollow/solidbody hybrid co-designed by Wolfgang Van Halen as his interpretation of what a modern guitar should be in the 21st century! Featuring a chambered/center block solid body blended with a bolt-on neck, the EVH SA-126 comes outfitted with features catering to high-speed playing, including a slim neck, jumbo frets, and higher output pickups.

Some of our favorite instruments in the Acoustic Room this week at CME include Santa Cruz Guitar Company H-13 Fret Sinker Redwood/1930s Old Growth Mahogany "Happy Traum" Redwood Fade! Modeled after the Nick Lucas Special released by Gibson in the ‘20s and ‘30s, the Santa Cruz Guitar Company’s H-13 features a neck-to-body joint at the 13th fret, plus a greater depth to create more air space in the guitar, giving this small-body guitar increased volume and bass response. Named in honor of Paul Hostetter, who commissioned SCGC to build the prototype in 1978, the Santa Cruz H-13 boasts the power and presence of a much larger guitar—and, yet, it’s perfect for playing aggressive fingerstyle blues, or for accompanying vocals.
