Oberheim | TEO-5 Analog Synthesizer
Make the Oberheim Legacy a Part of Your Own When You Step Up to the Oberheim TEO-5!
As proof of the ongoing resurgence of the Oberheim sound in the 21st Century, the company that helped fuel the original electronic music revolution has debuted the Oberheim TEO Analog Synthesizer—now available at Chicago Synth Exchange!Named after the company’s founder and analog synth mastermind, Thomas Elroy Oberheim, the synth’s name represents more than his initials—it marks the culmination of a synth pioneer's vision!
Step Into Oberheim’s Ultimate Sonic Sandbox!
Designed to distill the spirit of the now-legendary OB-X, Four Voice, and TVS into the sonic essence of the Oberheim sound, the TEO-5 unleashes the breadth and depth of Tom Oberheim’s timeless tonal palette, all from a compact, modern analog synthesizer. Crafted with classic analog soul, yet sleek, and powerful enough for today's sonic journeys, this five-voice VCO/VCF-based polysynth has simultaneously selectable waveshapes for each oscillator (triangle, saw, variable pulse), plus a dedicated front-panel X-Mod control for through-zero FM.

With its analog through-zero FM, the TEO-5’s updated oscillators roar, offering a sound that’s organic and raw, while granting users access to sonic textures they’ve never heard before—which can be sculpted using the TEO-5’s classic SEM filter with selectable Band-Pass mode, plus a State knob that enables continuous morphing from Low-Pass through Notch to High-Pass.
Equipped with dual digital effects, including chorus, delay, and reverb, as well as spot-on OB-8 envelope emulations, TEO-5 also lets users dial in emulations of Tom's legendary Phase Shifter and Ring Modulator, delivering swirling textures and metallic resonances that harken back to the golden age of synthesis.
Plus, with its 64-step polyphonic sequencer, the TEO-5 can spark almost infinite melodic possibilities, while its multimode arpeggiator keeps rhythms pulsing and pounding.
Whether you're a seasoned pro seeking a compact powerhouse, or a new artist embarking on your analog adventure, step up and make the Oberheim TEO-5 your new sonic playground today at the Synth Exchange!
