QUOTES FROM THE MAN HIMSELF

Hiwatt 200 Lead
"I grew up in St. Louis and when I was a kid, many bands would end up having their trucks stolen while they were in town. I remember that Angel was one of those bands. 35 years later, I saw this amp in a shop and bought it. It's Punky Meadow's head and still has the Angel flight case. It's an incredible sounding amp."

Kelly 100W
"Kelly amps were made in the late 60's/early 70's by John Kelly who was a designer for Selmer. He left Selmer and took a few people from there and started his own company. This is like a 100 watt Treble & Bass. Very, very, rare and falls between a Marshall and a Fender. The be-all, end-all of Selmers!"

1980S Fender Superchamp
"This was my go-to lead amp for many many years. I bought this when I was about 20 years old. There is a jack in the back to run a 16 ohm 4x12 off of. It's an incredible amp and I used it on many many sessions."

Magnatone M20
"This is one of the rarest vintage amps. Very few were produced, due to their outrageous retail price of $1200 in 1965 (That would be around $10,000 today). It's an absolute beast of an amp and one of my favorites of all time. It's a true stereo amp (40 watts per side). Stereo Magnatone vibrato is absolutely incredible. The 2 cabinets have a Celestion G12h and an alnico gold in each. Someone had taken the tops off of the 2 cabinets (assumingly, so they could stack all 3!) From 1965 till 1967, only between 20 to 50 of these were produced. Insanely thick and punchy."

"This was made for me by a friend that is a boutique builder and makes amps for many studio players. Really great, Champ-type of amp."

Elpico Combo
"I have 2 of these. This one is totally stock. They can be fairly easily made to be an exact replica of a 15 watt Marshall by swapping the phase inverter and changing a couple of caps. I've done that mod to my other El Pico and I use it all the time."

"These are great early British amps. This is a very early Carlsbro and I've used it for many years in the studio."
