The new line of extensions speaker cabinets are quite different from conventional cabinets. The front (baffle), body, and back panels are all formed from multiple sections of Eastern White Pine, precisely fitted and glued up in a unified assembly. As with the original combo cab, a solid Sapele speaker flange tunes the response of the baffle and provides an excellent mechanical connection between the speaker and the cabinet. The cabinets are loaded with Celestion Alnico Cream drivers.
The result of this unusual construction is a natural sound presentation much like an acoustic instrument. It lends texture, character, and intense bloom and dynamics to every note with a sound that's deep, full, and in perfect balance.
