Joan Jett doesn't need a wall of gear to bring the noise — and neither does this guitar. Built as a faithful take on her longtime favorite stage instrument, the Olympic Special strips rock 'n' roll electric guitar down to what actually matters: tone, feel, and attitude.
The asymmetrical double-cutaway body is carved from lightweight mahogany, paired with a set mahogany neck for warmth, punch, and serious sustain. A single PowerHammer PRO humbucker sits in the bridge, wired straight to one CTS volume pot for a no-nonsense, straight-to-the-amp growl. Flip the onboard kill switch for staccato chops and stutter effects that cut through any mix.
An Indian laurel fretboard with a 12" radius and 22 medium jumbo frets keeps things fast and comfortable, while the adjustable wraparound bridge locks in rock-solid intonation. Die-Cast tuners and a Graph Tech nut keep tuning stable through the loudest sets, and a reproduction of Joan's signature marks the back of the classic Olympic Special headstock.
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer approved — and ready to play the second it leaves the case.
