Description
First issued from Kalamazoo in 1963, the Thunderbird Bass was the only bass produced by Gibson and Epiphone for some time. What else would anyone really need though? The zig-zag body design came from Detroit auto-designer Ray Dietrich in the same spirit as the rumbling muscle cars that ruled the road at the time. It’s distinct look, legendary tone have remained a staple to this day.
