Introducing the Limited Edition Double Custom Esquire® DLX Closet Classic from the Fender Custom Shop. This premium electric guitar pairs a 2-piece offset seam roasted alder body with a quartersawn maple neck for resonant, vintage-inspired tone. The nitrocellulose lacquer finish and relicing create a worn-in look and feel.
It features a Maple Neck with ‘60s Oval "C” Back-Shape with a 3A rosewood fingerboard and 21 Jescar Vintage frets for smooth playability. Vintage-style tuning machines provide rock-solid tuning stability, while the 25.5" scale maple neck offers comfortable familiarity. The 3-saddle '67 Telecaster bridge with threaded steel saddles enhances sustain and resonance.
For classic a twist on classic Fender tones, it's equipped with a Seymour Duncan Antiquity P90 neck pickup and a Custom Shop Hand-Wound Loaded '51 Nocaster bridge pickup. Switch between pickups via the 3-position blade switch. Master volume and tone controls allow you to shape your sound.

Deluxe Closet Classic is a house favorite here at CME. It shows its age like a fine wine, built for those who want to more clearly feel the life of the instrument, but without all those forced dings and dents. Maintaining many of the subtleties of a traditional Closet Classic such as less brilliance to the finish, slight discoloration of plastics, and mild oxidation of metal parts, this aging package adds notably more extensive and lush finish checking that you will see and feel throughout.
