Finish Details: Original finish. The body and neck are stamped indicating the guitar was a factory refinish. There are many finish chips that are glued down.

Hardware: The bridge has been replaced with a Mastery bridge. The nut has been replaced, and a Buzz Stop has been installed.

Cosmetic Condition: This vintage Fender Jazzmaster shows heavy cosmetic wear and aging, with heavy checking and finish chipping throughout the body and headstock. The back of the neck is nicely worn, and there is a repaired crack along the tuner line. There are several finish chips which have been glued down. One of the pickguard screws is also missing, as the body wood underneath is cracked off.

Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action, and the frets are tall with minimal play wear. The neck has a "4 SEP 63" stamp, and the pot codes and serial number date to 1964. The neck and body are stamped indicating the guitar was refinished at the Fender factory; the gold undercoat is typical of guitars finished from 1965 onward.
