Top Material: Spruce
Body Material: Mahogany
Body Details: Mahogany back and sides with spruce top. There are repaired cracks in the top and back, and several braces have been reglued. The back has been removed and the top bracing has been replaced. The shoulder brace has been replaced with a larger mahogany brace; likely the previous shoulder brace failed causing one of the top cracks. There is an additional mahogany block inside the body, under the fretboard tongue, to support the repair. The bridge plate has been replaced.

Cosmetic Condition: The guitar has aged nicely, with attractive checking and authentic play wear on the glossy finish. There are repaired cracks on the top and back of the body, along with various chips and dings. The back of the neck has two dents behind the 10th fret, as well as near the headstock transition.

Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action and and minor neck relief. The narrow frets are medium height with minor neck relief. The serial number dates the guitar to 1955.
