The Gibson J-45, typically called the “Workhorse” of Gibson’s acoustic guitar range, gained its name from being used tirelessly on the road and in the studio. The classic combination of a Sitka spruce top with mahogany back and sides brings a balanced tone that has been familiar for decades. Played by legends from Bob Dylan to Margo Price, the Gibson J-45 is clearly loved by many. The original design of the guitar has been refined for the modern players of today, but the J-45 Standard still retains the core appointments of the guitar initially released over 80 years ago.
