Neck Details: Set-in three piece mahogany neck with bound ebony fretboard, block inlays, headstock volute, and headstock truss rod adjustment. There is a small repaired crack at the neck-body join, and some finish cracking around the heel.
Electronics: Original "tar-back" Gibson pickups, and original wiring harness with 3-way pickup selector switch (neck, middle + bridge, bridge) and neck/bridge pickup volume and tone controls. Some solder joints have been touched up, and the middle switch position is out of phase. The pot codes date to 1972.

Case Details: Original hardshell case. The handle has been replaced.
Cosmetic Condition: The guitar has aged nicely, with the glossy finish showing light dings, chips, and surface scratches throughout. The back of the body has mild buckle rash, and the back of the neck has a patch of stand rash at the 11th fret. There is a small repaired crack at the neck-body join, along with some finish cracking at the heel. The hardware has tarnished nicely with age.

Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action and minor neck relief, and is currently set up with 10s. The truss rod is adjustable. The frets are narrow and low with small divots present below the fifth fret. The electronic components, serial number, and construction appointments date the guitar to 1974.
