At Seymour Duncan, we have a 40 year archive of data on pickup design, detailing every nuance, down to the smallest detail. This knowledge is what gives our legendary Antiquity pickups their authentic tone.

We’ve heard from many guitar builders and players alike, who wanted our Antiquity pickups with a new, pristine look, rather than an aged, vintage look.

So we created the Retrospec’d series. All the tone of yesteryear, in a brand new look.


ANTIQUITY II JAZZMASTER:
We use hand ground Alnico 5 rod magnets, with our special coil wind to deliver bright, 60s Jazzmaster tone that is clean and crisp, with just the right balance of neck position warmth. Chords have a nice clear quality, and solos ring out with that eerie 60s Surf tone. The Antiquity II Jam for Jazzmaster neck pickup is wound RWRP so that when used together with the bridge model they will be hum-canceling. This pickup is a drop-in replacement for any Fender American Standard sized Jazzmaster pickup, and will fit nicely into the existing cover.

Hand built in our Custom Shop, this pickup uses hand ground Alnico 5 rod magnets, a custom coil wind with heavy formvar mag wire, vintage-correct gray flatwork, cloth push-back lead wire, and they are all lacquered and wax potted like the originals.
