Victoria 20112 Tweed 1x12 Combo w/Half Power Switch

The 20112 is our take on the classic narrow panel Deluxe. This amp has long been considered the consummate blues amp for small to medium-sized venues. It still is, but there seems to be even fewer good ones around and vintage prices reflect this. We build the 20112 right, and we can’t build too many. This Victoria is a seminal tool for studio and club work, period.

Half-Power Switch Functionality
The half-power switch engages a large resistor in series with the screen supply to significantly reduce screen voltage. Because tube plate current (and output power) is driven by screen voltage rather than plate voltage, this drops the actual power generated by the tube (e.g., from 14W to 7W).

Please note: cutting power wattage in half does not cut perceiveable volume in half. On lower-wattage amplifiers, reducing output power creates a subtle, modest shift in perceived loudness, allowing for earlier power-amp breakup at slightly lower listening levels rather than a dramatic drop in decibels.
