Antelope Audio | CME Exclusive Synergy Core Plugin Promo
For over 30 years, Chicago Music Exchange has been providing professional musicians, music educators, aspiring student players, and vintage instrument collectors with performance-ready instruments fit for the stage and studio, alike. Now, as more and more of our guitar-playing clientele have adapted their music-making routines to incorporate at-home recording studios—even on-the-fly tracking in temporary setups and makeshift recording scenarios—we’ve grown our Pro Audio product offerings to meet the needs of today’s recording realities.
That’s why, as part of CME’s ongoing partnership with Antelope Audio, we’ve partnered up to offer CME’s six-string devotees three FREE quintessential guitar effects plugins—including the Memory Cat Brigade Bucket Brigade Delay, the BBD Chorus Bucket Brigade Chorus, in addition to Antelope’s Reel-to-Reel tape saturation—with the purchase of any Synergy Core equipped interface, like the Antelope Audio Zen Q and Zen Go bus-powered recording interfaces!
Made to replicate the subtle non-linearities added to the audio by each analog effects unit’s component parts, Antelope Audio’s Synergy Core effects plugins emulate each specific aural non-linearity in digital form—from industry standard effects and processing units, to rare and obscure units that are hard to find, and/or expensive to own and maintain. Antelope’s continually-expanding FX library currently contains over 80 Synergy Core effects, including in-house creations, as well as third-party co-developments like Auto-Tune Synergy, or the rar Blonder-Tongue Audio Baton, Liverpool, Impressor, Filtek MK3, and more!
Now, only at CME, customers looking to harness Antelope Audio’s premier audio recording effects emulation can access Synergy Core’s processing power with an added bonus! CME customers who purchase either a Zen Q or Zen Go audio recording interface, will receive three free plugins—the Memory Cat Brigade bucket-brigade delay and BBD Chorus Bucket Brigade Chorus, plus Antelope’s Reel-to-Reel tape saturation—to let you start recording latency with your favorite guitar tones, right away!
BBD Chorus | Bucket Brigade Chorus
Based on the classic CE-1 Chorus/Vibrato pedal that has become both revered and inimitably recognizable since its release in 1976 skyrocketed BOSS to the top of the guitar pedal chain, the revolutionary design was soon adopted to shape the sounds of popular music, from The Police to Red Hot Chili Peppers, and beyond!
Memory Cat Brigade | Bucket Brigade Delay
Providing a unique marriage of both analog and tape delay, the Electro-Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man pedal released in 1980 reproduced tape-like echo using capacitors—eliminating the need for magnetic tape—and it has since become one of the most sought-after analog delays ever released!
REEL-TO-REEL | Tape Saturation
Taking all the understanding and knowledge Antelope Audio founder Igor Levin garnered over years of studying tape machines since the 1970s, the Reel-To-Reel tape saturation plugin effect combines the sonic characteristics of the best tape formulas, the best tape heads and the finest electronics to build a digital emulation of Levin’s ideal tape machine of today!
Guitar players who are already familiar with DSP-accelerated audio interfaces know well that having an array of audio effects to choose from during the recording, mixing, and monitoring process is only an advantage when latency concerns have been all but eliminated.
Featuring a range of analog-modeled effects that can be used in real-time, Antelope Audio’s Synergy Core platform integrates FPGA chips alongside DSP, to offer a unique approach to effects modeling, making it possible to offload the bulk of your signal processing to the audio interface and letting you record directly with effects at near-zero latency—so that recording guitarists can get processed signal through monitoring headphones while recording in real time.
Coupled with Antelope Audio’s Synergy Core FX library, the unique parallel computing power of its custom FPGA chips makes it possible to layer emulations of vintage and modern compressors, equalizers, mic preamps, and creative effects, such as reverb, delay, guitar amps, and modulation effects—most of which are hosted on the FPGA chips, which work fast and use relatively little power while running a number of effects simultaneously.
