Often described as the first great sounding solid state amplifier, the Beta was a revolutionary design when first launched. The unique analog MOSFET design provides a wide range of tones from clean to a distinctive fuzz like distortion that cleans up with the instrument volume control. Used by Kurt Cobain, Red Fang, The Melvins, and others, the Beta has cemented itself into rock history.

The Beta features two independent channels each with a full set of controls that can be used separately or blended using the included footswitch. Three effect loops provide a multitude of ways to integrate effects into your sound.

Asheville Music Tools is the brainchild of former Moog engineer Rick “Hawker” Shaich, with assistance from John Snyder, the mastermind behind Electronic Audio Experiments. Hawker took the lessons learned from refining Moog’s pedals, and is now applying his expertise to every pedal that is pushed out of his shop!
