Introducing | FENDER H.E.R. Stratocaster
Fender celebrates young black artists everywhere with the release of the H.E.R. Stratocaster, a signature model Strat designed in collaboration with the prodigious young R&B superstar, Gabriella Wilson, better known professionally as H.E.R., and the first signature model in the brand’s history for a black female artist.
The Mexican-made H.E.R. Stratocaster features several customized specs, like a mid-’60s “C”-shape maple neck, new Vintage-Styled Synchronized Tremolo, Vintage Noiseless Single-Coil Strat pickups, anodized aluminum pickguard, H.E.R. custom neck plate, and a unique Chrome Glow finish, another first for Fender.
Just like the artist, the H.E.R. Stratocaster cloaks itself in mystery, mirroring H.E.R.’s attitude towards identity with a hard-to-define finish, both alluring and seductive, yet obscured just enough to push the focus onto what’s really important–what’s inside. The emotions, the music, the message itself. Not the outfits, and not the outside.
As a symbol of the anti-star, Fender’s new H.E.R. Stratocaster represents a step forward for artists everywhere, offering a reminder to all that it’s not who you are, it’s what you do. Do it well.
