Suhr | Discovery Analog Delay
Houston, we have a new favorite! Suhr debuts what might be its most exciting pedal to date, the Discovery Analog Delay, a compact and highly customizable unit that merges the classic with the contemporary.
Engineered around reissued MN3005s—four high-voltage, bucket-brigade chips renowned for their presence in many analog delays of the late ‘70s and early ‘80s—the Suhr Discovery Analog Delay keeps the old soul alive, pairing it 127 programmable presets, three modulation waveforms (triangle, sine, and square), speed and depth modulation controls, Hi and Lo cut, and built-in tap tempo. But that’s not all.
The Suhr Discovery Analog Delay offers delay times as low as 40ms and as high as 1100ms, a range you can increase to 17ms and 2000ms with five available divisions: quarter, dotted eighth, triplet, eighth, and sixteenth note.
The seven-segment display makes it easy to see what you’ve selected, which is helpful considering that every knob on the Discovery’s enclosure is programmable. Map them to any expression pedal, save them as presets, or even hook the Discovery up via its MIDI in and out to send patch changes to other devices and save and share all your favorite settings.
Put it all together with a soft clipping limiter for endless feedback and oscillations, add a switchable buffered- or true-bypass, and you’ve got a limitless sonic universe at your feet.
Launch into the infinite with the Suhr Discovery Analog Delay, the first of its kind and a worthy vessel for any aural explorer.
Available in four eye-catching colors—Daphne Blue, Black, Surf Green, and Graffiti Yellow—the new Fender Limited Edition Tom Delonge Stratocaster brings back the same powerful Pop Punk guitar tones recorded on some of Blink 182’s most iconic and enduring hits of the late ‘90s and early 2000s!
