Following Universal Audio's leap into the guitar pedal market last year with the debut of its UAFX line of guitar effects pedals, the company that made its name developing pristine digital amp and effects modeling plugins for DAW software platforms has launched a new series of amp modeling pedals!
Now, offering live performers instant access to emulations of some of the most legendary guitar amplifiers, the new UAFX Woodrow ‘55 Instrument Amplifier, Dream ‘65 Reverb Amplifier, and Ruby ‘63 Top Boost Amplifier each feature three period-correct speaker and cabinet pairings, custom boosts, and circuit mods, respectively—plus, UA’s exclusive Dynamic Room Modeling Technology!
Boasting virtually unmatched sonic authenticity, all three amplifier emulation pedals are controllable via Bluetooth connection to the UAFX mobile app for iPhone and Android, featuring exclusive artist and factory presets, customizable footswitches, recallable settings, and more!
Woodrow ‘55 Instrument Amplifier
The UAFX Woodrow ‘55 Instrument Amplifier emulates the “wide-panel” Fender 5E3 Tweed Deluxe tube amplifier, affectionately known as Fender’s “golden unit” released in 1955, which became a favorite among country, blues, and rock players.
Dream ‘65 Reverb Amplifier
The UAFX Dream ‘65 Reverb Amplifier emulates the mid-’60s Fender Reverb amp characterized by its big clean tones and sweet breakup—plus heavenly spring reverb and vibrato circuits—all of which have fundamentally shaped the sound of American music ever since.
Ruby ‘63 Top Boost Amplifier
The UAFX Ruby ‘63 Top Boost Amplifier emulates the vintage '61 non-Top Boost and '64 Top Boost Vox AC30 models to capture the full essence of classic 30W British 2x12 combo, with all the signature bite, sizzle, and chime that epitomized the “golden age” of rock guitar tone.
Gibson Custom Shop has announced its 2023 follow-up to last year’s Collector’s Edition run with the new Murphy Lab Replica 1959 Les Paul Standard “Greeny” Aged guitar models, featuring an Indian rosewood fretboard, giving players around the world the opportunity to experience the magic of “Greeny” for themselves!
