Engineering a Better Tone
Designed through Yamaha’s exclusive Acoustic Design process, the RS20MM features a chambered body to enhance tone and resonance while keeping the weight down. This results in a guitar that sounds great and is extremely comfortable, allowing you to solo for hours on end. As they move further up the carbon-reinforced neck, players will notice the redesigned neck heel, which has been carefully sculpted at Matteo’s request to make it easier to move more freely around the higher frets!
The RS20MM also features plenty of tricks up its sleeve when you plug it in! The DiMarzio PAF 36th Anniversary pickups are inspired by vintage PAFs, with a wide open response across the EQ spectrum, and a softer magnetic pull. This allows the strings to vibrate more freely, with a wider dynamic sensitivity. Need more power? Pull the tone control to activate a passive Focus switch, which emulates overwound pickups with darker highs, focused mids, and tighter lows for a more modern, aggressive character! The 5-way pickup selector includes phase variation options, for even more options!
