Lakland
Lakland Guitars is a Chicago, Illinois- based manufacturer of electric bass guitars, founded by bassist Dan Lakin and luthier Hugh McFarland in 1994. Their first bass combined elements of the Fender Jazz Bass and the Music Man StingRay. Lakland Guitars current line-up include basses inspired by classics as well as their own original designs. Â
Lakland are among the most well respected instruments with professional artists worldwide. Their basses tone, playability, and construction help to deliver a sought after playing experience. Noted Lakland players include Prince, Daryl Jones (The Rolling Stones), and John Stirratt (Wilco), an impressive list to say the least.Â
