There's an avalanche of new models and colorways from Jackson, Charvel, and EVH headed our way, so let it snow!
JACKSON GUITARS
New for 2021, Jackson returns to Japan with the MJ Series, Japanese-made models joining unique aesthetics with uncompromising quality.
The Jackson MJ Series Soloist SL2 is a lead player's dream with a 12"-16" compound radius fretboard and 24 Jumbo frets, backed by Seymour Duncan JB™ TB-4 and Jazz SH-2N humbucking pickups. Jackson specced out Misha Mansoor's Signature MJ Series So-Cal 2PT to the shredder's delight with a 20" radius, a Bare Knuckle HSS pickup set, Gotoh Custom 510 tremolo, and premium hardware.
The Jackson MJ Series Rhoads RRT soars in, suited up with pearloid sharkfin inlays, adjustable TOM-style bridge, and, last but not least, Seymour Duncan® JB™ SH-4 and Jazz SH-2N humbucking pickups.
We couldn't leave out the Dinky, could we? The Jackson MJ Series Dinky DKRP is a beautiful, poplar burl-topped brute loaded high-output DiMarzio® Super Distortion® DP100 and PAF Pro® DP151 humbucking pickups and enough performance specs and hardware that it should probably be able to play itself.

Jackson's Pro Series caters to the working player with fast, efficient, and performance-minding designs so good even the pros themselves want them.
The Jackson Pro Series Signature Misha Mansoor Juggernaut, available in six- and seven-string models, is just that, a juggernaut, boasting a blazingly fast 20" radius, 24 jumbo frets, EverTune bridges, and signature direct mount Jackson MM1 pickups, carefully developed in collaboration with the artist himself.
Megadeth veteran Marty Friedman's Jackson Pro Series Signature MF-1 pays tribute to this influential figure with a 24.75"-scale six-string outfitted with choice specs like a 12" radius, passive EMG MF Signature pickups, and a fitting cracked Purple Mirror finish.

SHOP JACKSON PRO SERIES
Bringing a little European sophistication to the Pro Series, the Signature Christian Andreu Rhoads RRT has a big, bold look and the components to match. With just a single high-output humbucking pickup in the bridge and through-body maple neck, the Gojira guitarist's model is one of the sparsest of the bunch, adding to the sleek severity of this punishing flame maple-topped poplar body.
The Jackson Pro Series Signature Brandon Ellis Kelly model might look familiar. Adorned with a distinctive Green Crackle finish, this aggressive ax is ready to cut through the mix the old-fashioned way, thanks to a single Seymour Duncan Parallel Axis humbucking pickup in the bridge position and just one volume control. What more do you need?
Add a pair of boldly colored basses to the Jackson Pro Series. The Spectra SBP, available in four- and five-string models, represents the best in basses from the California brand. With a multi-laminate poplar burl/walnut/maple/walnut/mahogany body and through-body five-piece maple/walnut/maple/walnut/maple neck, these lovingly layered basses display beautiful balance and resonance, necessary to anchor the universe of sound issuing from dual Nordstrand SB4-B and SB4-N pickups with active electronics.
JACKSON X SERIES
Jackson's X series makes the brand's progressive designs possible for players of nearly all budgets.
Bringing in the bass, the Jackson X Series Spectra Bass SBXQ and SBXP put quality first. The quilt maple-topped SBXQ combines super-fast specs with active electronics and dual humbuckers for a versatile sound in a deluxe package, but without the deluxe price. Built to match, the SBXP replaces the quilt maple top with a rich poplar burl. Each is available in a 34"-scale four-string and 35"-scale five-string model.
The Jackson X Series Concert Bass CBXNT DX IV is the last of the X Series basses for 2021, but, boy, is it one to remember! With a distinctly retro-inspired look and custom components to match, the CBXNT DX IV fuses Jackson's high-performance, active design with a vintage-style P-style/J-style pickup set for a picture of yesterday today.
Soloists to the front! Jackson's X Series is lush with lead guitars like the SLXM DX, a white and gold workhorse with dual Duncan Designed™ alnico HB-103N and high-output output ceramic HB-103B pickups and a Floyd Rose Special tremolo. The SL3X DX and SL3XM DX follow suit with similar specs, swapping in two HR-101 Hot Rails pickups, as does the SL1X.
These two Rhodes run straight to the heart of the X Series, bringing signature style to the people in the RRX24-MG7 and RRX24 Camo. A must for modern metal, the seven-string RRX24-MG7 is armed and active with EMG® 81-7H and EMG 85-7H pickups and a Floyd Rose Special. It's Camo cousin, the RRX24, is no slouch either with dual active high-output Jackson humbuckers.
For the king, a crown. This Jackson X Series King V KVX-MG7 is a blacked-out seven-string suited to the king of the underworld, and with dual active EMG® 81-7H and EMG 85-7H humbucking pickups, you'll think you've summoned him yourself.
Bringing with it more than just the distinctive "winged" body shape, the Jackson X Series Kelly KEXS and KEXM return with lightning-fast necks, dual high-output Jackson humbuckers, sharkfin inlays, and a Shattered Mirror or Neon Yellow finish, respectively, for big looks befitting bold licks.
You guessed it! More Dinkies! The Jackson X Series Dinky DK3XR HSS and DK2X conclude our X Series models in the way only a Dinky pair can, with insane looks and massive sound. Perhaps the boldest of all Jackson 2021 models, the Dinky DK3XR HSS is everything you want: high-output humbucker sound with single-coil flexibility, unparalleled performance, and, of course, bonkers colors. The DK2X offers a more conservative approach to the ladder, packing two absolutely lethal high-output humbuckers onto Gloss Black and Snow White poplar bodies with active electronics.

The MJ DK24 HSH presents more than just a new look for the shredder's fave. Just like Charvel's of the 1980s, the Japanese-crafted MJ Series DK24 HSH brings exquisite style and quality together in a mahogany-bodied, figured walnut-topped model loaded with high-performance specs, like a scalloped lower neck bout, and a trio of powerful and precise Seymour Duncan Full Shred™ SH-10B, Custom Flat Strat® SSL-6, and Alnico II Pro™ APH-1N pickups.
A quintet of Pro-Mod guitars and two basses coming right up! The hot-rodded Charvel Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 1 HSH FR puts rubber to the road with high-speed specs like 12"-16" compound radius fretboard, Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo system, heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel, and speed neck profile, coupled with Seymour Duncan® Distortion™ TB-6, Custom Flat Strat® SSL-6 Single-Coil, and Distortion SH-6N pickups with advanced wiring for some hefty horsepower.
The So-Cal Style 2 24 HH HT CM switches more than just styles, extending the neck by two frets to 24 and adding a sculpted neck heel and Fishman Fluence Open Core PRF-COC pickups with advanced wiring.
San Dimas High School football rules, and so does the Charvel Pro-Mod San Dimas Style 1. Available in HH and HSS configurations, the San Dimas Style 1 features a 12"-16" compound radius fretboard, a Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo system, heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel, and Seymour Duncan® JB™ TB-4 and '59™ SH-1N pickups (HH), or Seymour Duncan® JB™ TB-4, Custom Flat Strat® SSL-6, and Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 RWRP pickups (HSS) respectively.
But that's not all San Dimas has up its sleeve. The Pro-Mod San Dimas Bass PJ IV and San Dimas Bass JJ V open the door once again to bassists looking for a place in the sun. Based on original 1970s Charvel designs, these four- and five-string basses combine compound-radius fingerboards with active electronics and DiMarzio P- and J-style pickups for an old-meets-new take on the company's classic.
Gotta give it to the Dinky! Originally a Jackson design, this classic model has been in almost every shredder's arsenal since its introduction in the mid-to-late '80s. Available in HSS, HSH, and HH configurations, the Charvel Pro-Mod DK24 is as essential as ever, with Charvel's characteristically snappy neck feel, a suite of high-performance specs, luxury finishes like Snow White, Mystic Blue, and Mahogany, and not to mention more meaty Seymour Duncans.
Built to the exacting specifications of a prog master, the Charvel Angel Vivaldi Signature Pro-Mod DK24-6 is loud and lively just like its namesake, equipped with gold hardware, a custom neck profile, DiMarzio® The Tone Zone® DP155 and Air Norton™ DP193 humbucking pickups, and a bright, bold Lucerne Aqua Firemist finish.
EVH
The late Van man's brand is back and ready to wail with more Wolfgang Standards and Specials, and you can't forget the 5150s!
The WG Standard continues to set a solid baseline of quality and affordability with Silver Sparkle and Stryker Red colorways, as well as Exotic Bocote and Exotic Koa models. The WG Standard QM adds a lux look with a Transparent green finish over a quilt maple top. The Miami Blue WG Special packs an extra punch with dual EVH Wolfgang Alnico 2 humbuckers, and the WQ Special QM expands the color options with Charcoal Burst and Chlorine Burst over quilt maple tops.
Amping things up a bit, EVH 5150 Standard Series guitars are back in a range of three crazy colorways (Stealth Black, Neon Pink, and Ice Blue Metallic), with the Deluxe Series offering your choice of Aqua Burst or Black Burst over a poplar burl top.
