Brandon "Taz" Niederauer - CME Session
Fifteen-year-old Brandon "Taz" Niederauer is, "just a kid who enjoys playing music!" The guitar wunderkind and band stopped by the Chicago Music Exchange and treated us to a CME Session of one of his new tunes, "My Revival."
Playing a D'Angelico Guitar through a Bartel Amp, Brandon "Taz" Niederauer blew our minds with his innate skills to shred!
The fifteen-year-old guitarist has played in some of the most legendary rooms in America, including playing the Star-Spangled Banner outside at Chicago's Wrigley Field!
"Brandon is playing from pure, real ‘what’ and ‘how’ and intent and he’s going for it and you can hear it like music and get off to it and dance to it. So, yeah…I dig it. I dig it. The fact that he’s young is secondary." - John Mayer
Brandon realized he wanted to play guitar while watching the film School of Rock at the ripe old age of EIGHT, and was also inspired by his dad's LP collection. Four years later, he starred in the Andrew Lloyd Webber Broadway production in the role of guitarist "Zack Mooneyham."
Brandon has made appearances on NBC's Jesus Christ Superstar and is featured in Netflix's Spike Lee series She's Gotta Have It.
Lucky to live in New York City , Brandon welcomes opportunities to play with some of his musical idols! He’s had the chance to jam with members of the Allman Brothers Band including Gregg Allman, Butch Trucks, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, and Oteil Burbridge, as well as Buddy Guy, Stevie Nicks, Lady Gaga, Slash, Jon Batiste, Dweezil Zappa, Eric Gales, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Dr. John, Otis Taylor, Gary Clark Jr., Col. Bruce Hampton, Eric Krasno, George Porter Jr., Robert Randolph, Karl Denson, Doug Wimbish, John Popper, and countless others.
Did we mention that he's only FIFTEEN YEARS OLD!!!! Keep your eyes and ears on this kid!
