Chase Bliss | Habit Experimental Delay Pedal
Bring your playing back to the future with the new Chase Bliss Habit Experimental Delay Pedal, a new delay with memory! In its most simple form, Habit can be a delay that ranges from 50ms to 60 seconds, with a quasi-looping function. With its modifier, you can use it to modulate-tape delay, program a chimey, floating away feeling, or dial in a reverse delay. But Habit has a lot more tricks up its sleeve: it features a memory bank that stores up to three minutes of your playing when Habit is active. That memory gives you a pool of audio to reuse, manipulate, and mix into your playing later.
Habit offers two ways to interact with the memory bank: the first is by setting it to auto, which allows Habit to wander off on its own and play bits of the memory. The frequency of the scan is determined by the scan knob, which also determines how far back the pedal is allowed to go back into its own memory to dig up sounds. Need a bit more control? Set it to manual, where you can move around the memory on your own, choosing a specific range to recall at all times rather than scanning around based upon your parameters. This acts like a pre-delay control.
The Spread knob introduces a different element of Habit: a secondary echo. This secondary echo has the same size and repeat settings as your primary echo, but it pulls from a different part of Habit's memory. This allows you to create interwoven multi-tap effects, or to have your old playing accompany you.
