Fender Custom Shop Heavy Relic Guitars at Chicago Music Exchange
Hand-aged, vintage-inspired masterpieces from the Master Builders of the Fender Custom Shop.
The benchmark of craftsmanship, the Fender Custom Shop is the ultimate of what Fender has to offer. Each instrument is hand-crafted by Fender Master Builders using only the highest quality, premium-grade components.
Also known also as “The Dream Factory,” Fender Custom Shop produces extremely limited, period-correct reproductions of important models from the Fender catalog, as well as special one-offs featuring experimental, ground-up design and appointments. Custom hand-wound and treated pickups, exotic tonewoods, hand-aged hardware – only the best of the best goes into what leaves the Fender Custom Shop, making each guitar Fender’s finest expression of quality and art.
These Heavy Relic models are painstakingly hand-aged to resemble best kind of vintage guitars, the ones that were loved hard, rode hard, and put away wet, yet were built to withstand years of constant use without giving an inch. These beautiful brutes are the cornerstones of rock history, and it’s upon these formidable Fenders that the Custom Shop Heavy Relic series is built.
