Pretty in pink.

Squier's big Bass VI looks more beautiful than ever outfitted in our favorite finish, Shell Pink, with a painted headcap to match Its most notorious features, like the triple-Alnico pickup set, three on/off pickup slides, bass-cut Strangle circuit, and floating vibrato bridge, remain intact, menacing as ever for full-tilt vintage functionality and terrific tone.

The Classic Vibe Bass VI is a faithful tribute to the secret weapon of producers and adventurous players that have dared to explore it since its original production from 1961 to 1975. Tuned an octave lower than a guitar and featuring a vintage-style tremolo, the Bass VI is the perfect companion to accompany any guitar or bass player into uncharted territory. Player-friendly features include a slim and comfortable “C”-shaped neck profile with an easy-playing 9.5”-radius fingerboard and narrow-tall frets. This throwback Squier model also features 1960s inspired headstock markings, nickel-plated hardware and a slick vintage-tinted gloss neck finish for an old-school aesthetic vibe.

Great experience!

I was reluctant to purchase a guitar online, sight unseen, but this was an excellent experience! I would definitely buy from Phil and Chicago Music Exchange again!

Much better than I ever expected

Let me just say that once I saw the shell pink bass vi was coming out, I had to rush and sell my then-current boring black squier bass vi to justify the pink one. I purchased the other one last year from that one huge online retailer, and it came needing a setup really badly. After a tuner thread mishap and a replacement one (from the retailer), I was back in business. It just played badly. Even with La Bella strings. I sold it and placed my order with CME for the shell pink one, then just waited. It just came today, and it plays like night and day from the other one. It's lively and the action is nice and low. The frets feel like they've been polished and dressed, and it just plays in tune, even with the cheaper D'Addario strings. Great job guys. I will always buy from your store after this. It was worth the months of waiting.

better than expected

generally i'm a big tinkerer with my instruments, so i was almost annoyed to realize that theres just about nothing on this bass that i could justifiably change. it kills for normal basslines (surprised to find the middle pickup works better than the neck for those), it sounds amazing playing up higher, the bass cut switch makes it so much more versatile into any kind of distortion or fuzz. still working on learning how to make the most out of it, its an oddball instrument to someone who hasnt picked one up before, but if you like that kinda thing you have to give one a shot.
