Levon Helm, anyone? We're drooling over here. Fresh from A&F Drum Co. in Austin, TX comes this gorgeous 6.5x14 solid Mahogany snare drum carved out of a single tree trunk! And with raw brass hoops and hardware and finished mahogany/poplar shells, it sounds as good as it looks. Slightly less highs and a lower midrange than maple, as A&F says, their mahogany drums are "extremely microphone friendly." Did we mention they're pretty photogenic, too.
