The Carstens Amplification™ 1x12 is a split-back extension speaker cabinet. This split-back design gives the player the option of a closed back, or an open back cabinet by simply removing the top back panel. As an open back, the cabinet will offer a natural, open, ambient sound. As a closed back, the cabinet will produce a more focused, punchy and directional sound.
Each cabinet is handmade in the USA using baltic birch and is loaded with one 12" Celestion G12M-65 Creamback ceramic speaker hand-wired to 8 ohms. This speaker retains the classic warm, expressive Greenback tone in a higher power handling capability.
This speaker cabinet is the perfect compliment to any Carstens Amplification™ amplifier as well as a great cabinet to accompany any other guitar amplifier.
