The Classic Model 2N series came about as the result of a few ideas, but mostly as a personal challenge to the skill of a drum designer : to build a drum using the beaded / flanged architecture. Mission accomplished!
Dunnett currently offers the Model 2N (named after the beloved Ford 2N tractor!) in Brass. The Brass model comes with a non-flanged beaded shell. The range of 2N models offers a modern, updated and much more robust version of the snare drum made famous by drummers like John Bonham. With a choice of higher or lower fundamental pitch provided by the different shell materials and designs one can truly dial in a particular sound, but get even more sonic diversity than available with vintage or even modern offerings.
