Cosmetic Condition: | The guitar has aged nicely, with areas of finish checking/wear, light scratches, and other small blemishes present. There is a crack in the top along the center seam, which is reinforced by the internal braces and does not impair sound or function. There are a few assorted finish cracks in the body as well. The neck is glossy and smooth. |
Serial Number: | 238926 |
Tech Notes: | The guitar plays well up to the 14th fret with low action and moderate neck relief; the guitar is currently set up with 12-53 phosphor bronze strings. The truss rod has limited adjustability, and so heavier strings would not be recommended. The guitar plays cleanly and comfortably up to the body join; there is a significant ramp upward at the fretboard tongue which causes notes about the 14th fret to buzz or fret out. However, the guitar has been left fully original, and plays well along the rest of the fretboard. The serial number and finish dates the guitar to 1968. |
