Neck Details: Bolt-on maple neck with unbound Brazilian rosewood veneer fretboard, dot inlays, and heel-adjust truss rod. The neck heel has a "16 JUL 66 B" stamp.
Electronics: Original single coil neck pickup with grey bobbin and 1966 handwritten date; the bridge pickup has been replaced with a 1970s Mustang pickup. The wiring harness has a few touched up solder joints, but it otherwise original, with on/off/on slider switches for each pickup and master volume/tone controls. The pot codes date to 1966.

Hardware: Original; the trem arm has not been included.

Modifications/Repairs: The bridge pickup has been replaced.
Case Details: Original hardshell case. Two of the case latches are broken, and the case displays a good deal of cosmetic wear.
Cosmetic Condition: This vintage Fender Mustang has aged nicely, with attractive checking and light hazing on the body finish. There are various small scratches, chips, and dings, and the back of the neck is worn nicely smooth. The fretboard has a few scattered tooling marks from a prior fret dress.

Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action and optimal neck relief, and the original frets are low with light play wear. The heel stamp, pot codes, and serial number date the guitar to 1966.
