Description

The following specs were carefully collected and recorded by a skilled technician. For a more detailed description and questions regarding sound, feel, or cosmetic condition, please visit our Lincoln Avenue showroom or call to speak to one of our Used and Vintage experts.
Body Material: Alder
Neck Material: Maple
Fingerboard Material: Brazilian Rosewood
Neck Profile: C
Fingerboard Radius: 7.25"
Nut Width: 1-7/16"
Electronics: The guitar has been fully rewired. The pots and switches have been replaced and rewired, and a humbucker has been installed in the neck position. The humbucker is not secured by screws but is well held in place and will not move while the guitar is being played. We believe the bridge pickup may be original, albeit with replaced leads; it is a grey bobbin Fender single coil pickup with illegible markings. The guitar has the humbucker, the single coil, a three-way switch for each pickup, a volume pot, and a tone pot.
Pickup Measurements: neck - 7.4 kΩ, bridge - 5.7 kΩ
Weight: 7lbs 12oz
Modifications/Repairs: -The guitar has been fully rewired. -The pots and switches have been replaced and rewired. -A humbucker has been installed in the neck position with a non-original pickup ring. -The pickguard has been cut out and the body cavity has been routed out to accommodate the humbucker. -A small crack on the headstock has been repaired. -The strap buttons have been replaced. -The original finish has been stripped from the body. -The bridge has been replaced.
Case Details: Hard shell case
Cosmetic Condition: This vintage Fender guitar is in good condition. The finish is matte with scuffs and shallow scratches throughout. There is a repaired crack visible on the headstock from the high E tuner to the end; this is structurally stable. A sticker reading "MODIFIED" is on the bridge plate. The center of the pickguard is discolored, seemingly painted gold. The metal hardware is lightly tarnished with age. The decals on the headstock have largely worn off.
Serial Number: L61296
Tech Notes: The guitar plays well with low action and optimal neck relief. The frets are medium with light play wear. The neck stamp reads "9 DEC 64 A." The serial number dates to 1965. The tremolo arm is not included with the instrument.
