Neck Details: | One-piece maple neck with unbound curved Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and clay dot inlays. The neck is date stamped September 2nd, 1962, and has been refretted. The fingerboard has been modified with a compound radius, with a 9.5" radius at the first fret, which transitions to 12" at the twelfth fret. There is a crack repaired in the headstock on the bass side corner, which runs along the back, side, and headstock face. The tuner post holes have been enlarged, and there are several extra holes in the back of the headstock from previous tuner installations, one of which has been plugged, and a hole in the headstock face most likely from a second string tree that was installed at one point. The face, bass side, and rear of the headstock have some areas of overspray. The nut has been replaced. |
Electronics: | The electronics consist of an original 1962 harness, which has been modified with a five position selector switch, and period pickups. Three Stratocaster pickups with five position selector switch, master volume, neck/middle tone, and bridge tone controls. The bridge pickup is not original to the harness. One of the bridge pickup leads has been lengthened, and the volume pot has been replaced. The two original pots date to 1962. |
