This Telecaster is being dated to 1966 based on the serial number, cosmetic appointments, and the neck stamp. The dating of this instrument is also proven to be 1966 based off the presence of the "ES" stamp under the pickguard. The "ES" stamp stands for "Enter Special" and was a system utilized by CBS owned Fender in 1966 to signify a special order instrument and was to be painted a custom color.
