Finish Details: Original finish except for light finish touchup of neck binding repair.
Body Material: Maple
Body Details: Laminate maple semi-hollow body with maple center block. This guitar has a center seam on the top, which is less common.

Neck Details: One piece mahogany neck with bound Brazilian rosewood board and dot inlays.
Electronics: Original PAF pickups and original wiring harness. The pickup covers were removed and reinstalled by a previous owner. The PAF stickers have deteriorated or fallen off almost completely. There is a small section of sticker remaining on the neck pickup (see pics). The pots are Mallorys with nylon shafts, all dating to 1959. The guitar has bumblebee capacitors.
Pickup Measurements: neck 7.6k ohms bridge 7.6k ohms
Hardware: Original hardware except for replaced tuners. The original tuners have deteriorated tips and are included with the case. The originals are single line, double ring Klusons.
Modifications/Repairs: -The pickup covers have been removed and reinstalled. -The tuners have been replaced. -There was a binding repair on the treble side of the neck. The section of binding between the 12th fret and the end of the fingerboard on the treble side has been replaced. There is some glue residue and possible finish touchup below this binding. Under blacklight there is evidence of sanding/buffing in this area and around the neck heel in general (see pictures).
Case Details: Original hard shell case.
Cosmetic Condition: The guitar has very light wear for its age. The finish is glossy with light checking and minor dents and surface scratches throughout. The back of the body has very light buckle rash. There is a very small crack in the neck pickup ring on the forward bass side corner. The hardware is nicely tarnished with age.

Tech Notes: -The guitar plays well with low action. The frets are wide with medium height and minimal play wear. -The serial number dates to 1961.
