Neck Material: Mahogany

Neck Profile: C

Neck Thickness (IN): 1st - .77" & 12th - .94"

Fingerboard Radius: 12.00"

Nut Width: 1-11/16"

Scale Length: 24 3/4"

Neck Details: Mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard and dot inlays. There are filled in screw holes on the headstock from the locking nut.

Electronics: Gibson humbuckers with a three-position switch, two volume pots, and a master tone pot.

Pickup Measurements: Bridge: 7.03kΩ Neck: 7.80kΩ

Hardware: Original Gibson tuners and nut. A Nashville style bridge and tail-piece has been installed.

Weight: 8 lbs 8 oz

Cosmetic Condition: Guitar is in good cosmetic condition with moderate play wear throughout, checking, dings, dents, and scratches.

Modifications/Repairs: -Partial refinish on the top of the body. -Kahler route has been filled in. -Small route under the pickguard has been filled in. -Bridge pickup route has been enlarged. -Non-original bridge and tail-piece. -Non-original pickguard.

Serial Number: 82433540

Tech Notes: This Explorer plays well with low action and optimal neck relief. The frets are tall and show light play wear. It has been properly setup and intonated in standard tuning. Being a "Custom Shop Edition" and produced before the Gibson Custom Shop was founded, it's probable that this is a one-off model and whether the Kahler was installed from the factory or not is impossible to tell. That being said, the route has been filled in and partially finished over.

Case Details: Original hardshell case.
